Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday, chaired a crucial COVID-19 review meeting. 

Chief ministers of all the states and union territories were present in this meeting. 

PM Modi spoke to the CMs and took stock of the COVID-19 situation of the country. 

This was the first meeting of the Prime Minister with the chief ministers this year.

Earlier, PM Narendra Modi interacted with officials of the health ministry. 

Modi has asked the health ministry officials to strengthen the ongoing vaccination drive. 

The meeting was called on the day when India reported over 2.47 lakh new COVID-19 cases. 

The new cases increased India’s active cases tally up to 11.1 lakh.
