People travelling from or having visited Italy and South Korea must now submit certificate of having tested negative for coronavirus from laboratories issued by health authorities of their countries.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Tuesday stated that the travellers will need to submit their certificates at the departure airport.
According to a Health Ministry advisory, the move, which came into force from Tuesday, will continue till cases of novel coronavirus subsides.

“In addition to visa restrictions already in place, passengers travelling from/having visited Italy or Republic of Korea and desirous of entering India will need certificate of having tested negative for COVID-19 from the designated laboratories authorized by the health authorities of these countries,” the Health Ministry advisory stated.
Meanwhile, a total of 50 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country till now.
After the 44 positive cases declared on Monday, four positive cases were reported from Bengaluru and two positive cases from Pune.

Of these 50 cases, 34 cases are Indian nationals and 16 are Italians.
Over 1400 contacts have been put under surveillance for these positive cases, till date.
Moreover, the 404 Indian contacts of the US citizen tested positive for COVID-19 in Bhutan have been identified and put under surveillance in Assam.
