Cultural programmes depicting various traditional heritage of the people of the region and of course, burst of flavours through the exotic ethnic delicacies of the Northeast are lined up for the denizens of New Delhi to have a sneak peek into the diverse and colourful lifestyle of the region.

According to reports, ethnic cuisines are expected to be the true crowd puller of the festival as more than 40 food stalls from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Sikkim will be put up at the festival venue to tickle the taste buds of the gourmets.

However, amid all the festivities and merry-making this year’s three-day long North East Festival will have some serious aspects to it as the festival will host a special seminar titled ‘NRC – Untruth, Half-Truth and Truth’, featuring some of the most noteworthy voices from the region, leaders from various tribes and communities who will delve deep into the NRC and its significance, according to agencies reports.
