Reliance Jio has now re-introduced two of its popular prepaid recharge plans – Rs 149 and Rs 98.
This came on the heels of rivals Vodafone Idea and Airtel introducing new plans allowing unlimited voice calls to any operator.
Notably, Jio had introduced new tariff plans from December 6 last.
It had then announced 11 all-in-one plans with validity period starting from 28 days and going up to 365 days.
The cheapest plan was for Rs 129 which gave 2GB data along with 1,000 minutes of talk-time to non-Jio numbers.

The Rs 129 plan was valid for 28 days.
In its affordable pack category, Jio now has one more plan — Rs 98. The new recharge plan is valid for 28 days and gives 2 GB data after which speed is reduced to 64 Kbps.
The Rs 149 plan which has a validity period of 24 days comes with 24 GB data.
One gets 300 minutes of free talk-time to non-Jio mobile numbers along with 100 SMS per data and a complimentary subscription to Jio Apps.
Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone-Idea have now removed the previously set FUP on off-net calls.
This means that all calls are now unlimited on the Airtel and Vodafone-Idea networks.

Wi-Fi calling: Meanwhile, Airtel has launched Wi-Fi calling after testing it for months, but for now it will work only on Airtel Xstream Fiber and on select smartphones.
The Wi-Fi calling is being rolled out for prepaid and postpaid subscribers across the country.
It is currently available in Delhi NCR and will be gradually rolled out across the rest of the country.
The Wi-Fi calling will let Airtel users make use of the Wi-Fi network in their homes to make calls using VoIP, instead of relying on cellular connectivity.
There will be no extra charge for calls made over Airtel Wi-Fi calling and the application consumes minimal data.
Reliance Jio is also working on a similar feature and is expected to launch it soon.
