With BJP severing ties with 15-year-old ally NPF, the new Nagaland Ministry under the leadership of Neiphiu Rio will be sworn in at Kohima local ground on March 8.

In this connection, an emergency coordination meeting was convened by Nagaland Home Commissioner in Kohima on Monday. The searing-in ceremony of the new Nagaland ministry is scheduled to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Secretary, Home Department, Roveatuo, informed in a release after the meeting.

The meeting deliberated on necessary arrangements and made assignments for the occasion.

Fire & Emergency Department has been asked to deploy their fire tenders for dust removal and preventive measures with effect from March 5 while PWD Road & Bridges will take up emergency improvement of the road between Assam Riffle Helipad in Kohima to Kohima local ground via Commissioner office and complete it by March 6.

The Home Department has directed the Power Department to provide power requirement with necessary back-up facility while Transport Department has been asked to arrange 30-40 vehicles for VVIPs carcade by March 6.

Contingency VVIPs carcade has to be kept ready in Dimapur for which Special Secretary (Home) will coordinate with Dimapur district administration and police, the release said adding 10 liaison officers will be identified and nominated by the Home Department.

The department said vehicles and accommodations for advance security party in Kohima and Dimapur should he kept ready by March 6 evening by Commissioner of Police, Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur in Dimapur and Home ( Protocol) in Kohima.

The Women Resource Department in coordination with Secretary, IPR, has been directed to arrange refreshment on the spot after the swearing-in ceremony.

Stating that small lounge will be kept ready at the venue for VVIPs, the release said hotline, internet, telephone connection for VVIPs will be provided at the rostrum by the BSNL to be coordinated by Deputy Commissioner, Kohima.

Secretary (Finance) Kikheto and Joint Secretary Kevin Zehol will be in charge of ushering and will also coordinate with the political party volunteers for the function, it said.

Police will issue car pass for the official invitees while invitations for the function will be issued by Home Department.

Every official involved in the arrangement for the function has been directed to obtain security pass from IGP (Int), Police Department, by getting themselves photographed or submitting two passport photos.

The release said the new Chief Minister will address a press conference to be held in New Secretariat main lobby in Kohima after the function.

The Medical Department has been directed to arrange food certification officials, required blood stocks and medical coverage.
