A National Integration Tour for students of Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh is being organised by the Longding Battalion of the Indian Army under aegis of Dao Division.

The team, comprising 10 boys, 10 girls and two teachers, was selected from different schools of Longding district.

The educational and motivational tour is being conducted with aim of connecting the youth of Northeast with other parts of the country and also to give the students of the district an exposure to the diversity of India.

During the National Integration Tour, the students will visit important monuments like Gateway of India, Elephanta Caves, Hotel Taj Mahal and Afghan Church in Mumbai.

In Pune, the students will visit the National Defence Academy at Khadakwasla, Agha Khan Palace, Tata Motors Factory and Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park.

The National Integration Tour was flagged off on January 10, 2019 by the Commanding Officer of Longding Battalion of the Indian Army in presence of the Deputy Commissioner of Longding district, Superintendents of Police, Deputy Director of Education and District Sports Officer.
