Union Minister for Tourism, Culture and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) G Kishan Reddy will review the schemes, under the DoNER ministry, being implemented by the Nagaland Government on Friday. 

The Nagaland government has directed all the administrative heads and heads of departments of the implementing departments to attend the meeting. 

Reddy will also inaugurate the state soil testing laboratory at the state directorate of soil and water conservation in Kohima and a road from National Highway 29 connecting Sovima village with Thahekhu village in Dimapur on the day.  

Both the projects are funded by the North Eastern Council under the DoNER ministry. 

Meanwhile, as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to commemorate 75th anniversary of India’s Independence, a one-day event under the theme “Showcasing India as a rising Economic Force” will be held at the directorate of industries and commerce in Kohima on September 25.

The event is being organised by the Kohima District Industries Centre, in collaboration with the directorate of industries and commerce, Agriculture and Export Products Development Authority of India, Directorate General of Foreign Trade and Kohima district administration for promotion of export-oriented products to promote trade and export of local agri-horti produces, processed food products, handloom and handicrafts and various exportable products from Kohima district.
