Cultural troupes from Thailand and Hungary will be performing at the 20th Hornbill Festival which is scheduled to begin from Sunday in Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokchung, Phek and Wokha districts of Nagaland.
“The central function, however, will be held at Kisima Heritage village in Kohima,” stated an official release on Thursday.
Apart from the foreign troupes, there will also be performances by 17 major tribes of Nagaland and other artists from the Northeast.
Apart from cultural programmes, the 10-day festival will also have activities like trekking and hiking to Mount Teyozwu and Dzukou Valley, heritage walk in Kohima, a World War II rally and stone pulling event at Mima.
