The Nagaland parliamentary committee for the vexed Naga political issue has stated that it will put pressure on the Centre for an early solution to the issue.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the committee held at the State Banquet Hall in Kohima on Monday.
The Nagaland parliamentary committee comprises of all 60 MLAs and the two MPs from the state.
Nagaland minister Neiba Kronu said: “Everybody is of the opinion that time is running out.”

The committee, in the meeting, also decided to work towards bringing all the stakeholders together and reach one solution to the issue.
“We want to bring the Naga negotiating parties together for one solution and one agreement and also strongly pressure the Centre for an early solution,” Neiba Kronu said.
Meanwhile, a 12-hour shutdown called by the NSCN-IM on Tuesday has ended.
The NSCN-IM had called for a total closure of shops and business establishments in ‘Nagalim’ area for 12 hours with effect from Monday midnight till Tuesday noon in protest against the Centre’s silence on the Framework Agreement.
