The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed chargesheet against top NSCN (IM) leader and another man for allegedly financing terror activities of the Naga rebel group.

The NIA filed the chargesheet against self styled NSCN (IM) major Luckin Mashangva of Dimapur in Nagaland, and Jaikishan Sharma of Tirap in Arunachal Pradesh before the special NIA court in Dimapur.

Both of them have been charged under Sections 120B and 384 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 17 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), said an NIA official.

The NIA on September 17 last year re-registered a case in connection with the seizure of Rs 10, 46,100 by a special operation team of Dimapur police.

The police seized the money on August 20 last year from the possession of Mashangva and Sharma.
