Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom said nine people died due to Covid-19 while 174 tested positive in the State on Tuesday.

While the active cases climbed to 4,725, a total of 372 people died of the virus, Phom tweeted. He said there were 13 other deaths.

Among the new cases, Dimapur recorded 58, Mokokchung 43, Tuensang 20, Kohima 16, Mon 12, Phek 10, Wokha 8, Zunheboto 5 and Kiphire and Longleng 1 each.

He said 373 positive patients recovered during the day. Of them, 208 were from Kohima, Mon 57, Dimapur 36, Tuensang 22, Zunheboto 17, Phek 16, Mokokchung 10, Longleng 5 and Wokha 2.

The total caseload in the State stood at 21,854 while 16,111 people recovered from the infection in the State so far.

Phom said 633 people migrated from the State.
