Security forces, in a joint operation with Nagaland police, have apprehended an NSCN (IM) cadre at Doyapur in Dimapur district of the state.
Based on a specific input, the security forces launched a joint operation with the Nagaland police and apprehended the cadre on April 14, said a police official on Saturday.
The nabbed rebel has been identified as Amstrong Lekthe.
An extortion slip, a fake identity card of village council and a mobile phone were recovered from him, an Assam Rifles release said today.
The cadre was handed over to Sub-Urban police station, Dimapur.
