The Nagaland health and family welfare department has launched online human resource management information system (HRMIS) and payroll management system.

The HRMIS system has been developed with the support of the World Bank aided Nagaland Health Project to strengthen the public healthcare service delivery in the state.

The developed system will be a dynamic repository of health human resources and will help the health system digitize recording of key human resource functions such as training, transfer, promotion.

The HRMIS will also digitize and automate the payroll processing of health human resources in the state.

The principal director of the state health directorate, Dr Neikhrielie Khimiao, launched the web-based online HRMIS at the department’s directorate on Tuesday.

In his address, Khimiao emphasised the need for digital tools to make healthcare service delivery more effective in the State, especially in view of the Covid19 pandemic.

He said Nagaland will be eligible for an additional 5-10% of the National Health Mission annual budget as per the incentivized plan of the Union health ministry with the implementation of the system.

The web-based HRMIS can be used by all employees of the health department, NHM and Nagaland State AIDS Control Society through a web-based MIS or Android application.

Each employee can log in to www.nagahealth.nagaland.gov.in using their unique login IDs, which can be received through SMS on their registered mobile number.

A detailed standard operating process will be made available on the website and communicated to districts in the coming days.
