Nagaland Governor RN Ravi will reportedly hold a consultative meeting with leaders of the tribal organisations on Wednesday.

Nagaland Governor RN Ravi has reportedly convened the meeting with the tribal leaders to discuss issues like COVID-19 and law and order situation in the State.

According to reports, the second wave of COVID-19, which has hit India hard, has prompted Nagaland Governor RN Ravi to convene the meeting with the tribal leaders.

The meeting, reportedly, will discuss steps and measures needed to be taken to check the spread of COVID-19 in Nagaland.

The meeting will also discuss the present law and order situation in Nagaland.

Reportedly, the meeting will discuss the issue of “extortion by armed Naga outfits”.

Nagaland Governor RN Ravi, who is also the interlocutor for the Naga political issue, has been time and again raising concerns over the issue of “extortion by armed Naga outfits” in the State.

There are at least 14 armed Naga outfits operating in the Nagaland.

These outfits operate mainly out from the two important cities in Nagaland – Kohima and Dimapur.

Nagaland Governor RN Ravi is also likely to brief the leaders of the tribal organisations in the State on the status of the ongoing Naga talks.
