For the third consecutive day, Nagaland reported one Covid-19 death while new positive cases came down to 57, the lowest in the last three weeks.
The State also registered 143 recoveries during the day.
The Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department on Sunday said that while Dimapur recorded zero fresh case of infection, Kohima registered 23, Longleng – 6, Mokokchung – 10, Mon – 1, Peren – 3, Phek – 8, Tuensang – 1, Wokha – 4 and Zunheboto – 1.
Among the 143 recoveries, Dimapur and Kohima reported 40 each, Mokokchung – 48, Mon – 6, Phek – 5, Tuensang – 1 and Wokha – 3.
The department said the State recorded more recoveries than detection for the third straight week.

There were 2300 recoveries against 631 fresh cases from June 12 to June 18. The weekly count began declining for the fourth week after touching highest in mid-May.
The cases detected last week included 295 traced contacts, 281 self-test or random, 19 travellers, 18 security personnel and equal number of frontline workers.
In its weekly report released on Saturday, the State Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme said there was marked decline in case detection and deaths in Dimapur and Kohima.
The report said there has been a 38 percent decline in cases from last week and only Peren district showed an increase in cases from last week.

Except for Peren and Mokokchung district, recoveries far outnumbered detection in all the districts of the State.
The report said for the first time in last eight weeks, weekly sample positivity rate in the State has gone below 10 percent. Only Kohima, Kiphire and Mokokchung have a weekly positivity rate of 10 percent or more. The previous week’s positivity rate was 13 percent.
It said the testing rate increased to 99 per thousand population from the previous week’s 91 percent per thousand. The case fatality rate was 1.8 percent against the country’s 1.2 percent.
The report said 32 percent of the eligible beneficiaries have been administered the first dose of vaccine adding 99.7 percent of deaths after February have not been fully vaccinated.
