The Indian army inquiry team probing the December 4 Oting incident in Mon district will visit the incident site on December 29, a defence release said on Monday.

The team will also be present at Tizit police station in the district between 1.30 pm to 3 pm on the day.

The release said in continuation with the public notice issued on December 20 in reference to the Indian army inquiry into the December 4 incident, the inquiry team will visit the incident site on December 29.

The inquiry team has also solicited any primary information (not forwarded or not from secondary source) pertaining to the incident from the public. It requested any person having such information and desirous of deposing before the inquiry to do so at Tizit police station.

Any original information, photo or video (not forwarded or not from a secondary source) related to the incident may also be shared with the inquiry team via phone, SMS or Whatsapp messenger at +916033924571. The information may also be shared in person to the inquiry team at Dinjan military station in Assam, the release said.

It added that the original documents and audio-visual recordings will be collected from the source following due legal procedure.
