Indian Army busted a camp of National Socialist Council Nagalim (Isak-Muiva), (NSCN-IM) group on Monday night in Nagaland, official sources said.

According to Tezpur base Defence spokesperson Lt Col Harsh Wardhan Pande, continuing with efforts to check violation and enforce ceasefire ground rules, a joint operation comprising troops from Indian Army, Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police busted a temporary hideout of NSCN (IM) near Longting in Mon district of Nagaland on Monday night.

Based on a specific input regarding setting up of a temporary hideout by NSCN (IM), a search operation was launched by the troops in the area.

During the operation, a temporary hideout comprising of a living area with 08-10 beds and a kitchen was busted by the security forces.

The troops also recovered rations, utensils and other ancillaries from the camp.

The hideout has been destroyed in presence of police representative.

The items recovered from the camp have been handed over to Tizit Police Station and a FIR has been lodged for violation of Cease Fire Ground Rules by NSCN (IM), for further investigations, Pande said .
