107 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected from Kohima in Nagaland in the last 24 hours.

This was informed by Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom on Wednesday.

All the fresh COVID-19 positive cases in have been reportedly detected from the St Paul Training Institute in Phesama, Kohima.

Following the detection of the cluster of COVID-19 cases, the entire institute has been turned into a containment zone.

“There shall be no entry or exit from the containment zone in any circumstances. This was important in order to map the disease’s local transmission and prevent it from spreading,” said Kohima Deputy Commissioner Gregory Thejawelie.

With the detection of the fresh 107 COVID-19 cases, Nagaland’s total cases tally has shot up to 113.
