Centre’s interlocutor for Naga talks and Nagaland governor R.N. Ravi held separate meetings with the NSCN (IM) and the working committee of NNPGs in Delhi on Tuesday.
However, the talks, held with the Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) in the morning and with the NSCN (IM) in the afternoon, remained inconclusive with the negotiating parties deciding to continue the dialogues.
Sources said the stalemate in the negotiations between the Centre and the NSCN (IM) continued even as both the parties were engaged in talks for the second consecutive day on Tuesday.
While the dialogue with the NNPGs is reportedly heading towards conclusion, the NSCN-IM remains adamant on their stand for separate flag and constitution for the Nagas.

Senior NSCN (IM) leader Rh. Raising, who is part of the NSCN (IM) negotiating team, said the talks were inconclusive.
“There was no progress,” he said.
A member of the working committee of the NNPGs, who was part of the talks with Ravi on Tuesday, said the interlocutor had asserted that the issue of flag and constitution should not hold the Naga issue to “hostage”.
The working committee member, who did not want to be quoted, also said Ravi reiterated that any unresolved issues should be pursued through democratic process post solution.
The working committee member said Ravi had also made it clear that there would be no extension of talks beyond October 31.
“There’s no ambiguity,” he added.
The talks between the NSCN-IM and Ravi will continue on Wednesday and Thursday, the deadline for the signing of the final agreement.
