The District Task Force (DTF) Dimapur on Monday decided to reschedule the market timing from 9 am to 2 pm from the present 9 am to 4 pm in Dimapur for the safety and interest of the public.

At a meeting held at the deputy commissioner’s conference hall, the DTF resolved that malls, showrooms, restaurants, including take away restaurant services, will remain completely closed for the time being.

The meeting also decided that the hardware shops will open from 6 am to 10 am.

It was decided that the traffic movement with odd and even numbers should be strictly followed till 2 pm except the exempted categories. It asked the police for strict monitoring in this regard.

With the maximum number of Covid-19 positive cases in the state admitted in Dimapur Covid hospital, the DTF felt the urgent need to keep buffer stock of ventilators, monitors and regulators.

Of the 43 positive cases in the state, 25 are admitted in Dimapur Covid hospital.

In case of emergency, the DTF will go for Plan B to identify alternative Covid-19 hospital for Dimapur district.

It called for installing Truenat machines for more testing in a day, as more special trains would be arriving this week. Presently, the samples from Dimapur are sent to Kohima and Dibrugarh.

Khinchi said there was no positive case detected in the last 24 hours.

Saying that all positive patients are stable and healthy, he advised people not to panic but to be disciplined and sincerely follow social distancing, hand hygiene and mandatorily wear face masks covering nose and mouth.

Khinchi said presently, there are 46 quarantine centres with 4085 beds in Dimapur.

He added that the new quarintine centre at Ganeshnagar would be able to accommodate 1000 returnees.

On the status of BSL-2, Khinchi said it will take around 20 days to get it commissioned.
