Lockdown in Nagaland has been extended till June 11.
The decision to extend the lockdown in Nagaland was taken by the High-Powered Committee on COVID-19 of the State Government.
Lockdown has been extended in Nagaland keeping in view the rising cases of COVID-19 in the State.
The decision to extend the lockdown in Nagaland till June 11 was taken by the High-Powered Committee on COVID-19, on the basis of the advice given by the State Health Department.
“The High-Power committee, GON, has decided to extend the Lockdown in Nagaland till June 11,2021, on the basis of the advisory given by the Health & Family Welfare Department,” informed spokesperson and adviser of the HPC – Mmhonlumo Kikon via a tweet.

Nagaland Chief Secretary J Alam said the existing guidelines with regard to the lockdown will remain operative till June 11.
Meanwhile, Pughoboto additional deputy commissioner Thungchanbemo Tungoe ordered total lockdown for three days in Pughoboto town starting from 6 am of May 29 till 6 pm of May 31 as the public are not following the Covid-19 guidelines issued by the government.
During the lockdown period, movement of public from and to Pughoboto will be restricted and all shops, except pharmacies, will remain closed, Tungoe said.
He said the vaccination drive as already fixed by the health department will continue during the lockdown.
Tungoe said wearing of face mask has been made compulsory in Pughoboto town and that the defaulters will be penalised with a fine of Rs 100.
