The Nagaland government on Monday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to any state government employee, who suffers fatality due to Covid-19 while performing frontline duties.
The government employees include personnel of Nagaland police and the urban local bodies.
This was notified in a notification by the home department (relief & rehabilitation branch).
In another order on Monday, the government directed all the administrative heads of departments, heads of departments and all the heads of offices in the districts to be in their respective headquarters from Tuesday.
In case any officer in the district is presently not in his/her respective headquarters he/she may immediately contact the respective deputy commissioner and obtain the necessary passes/clearances for proceeds towards his/her headquarters, the order said.
Test kits:
Rapid diagnostic test kits for Covid-19 arrived in Dimapur from New Delhi on Sunday.
The tasking was carried out and airlifted by special Dronier-228 light utility multipurpose aircraft of the IAF.
Deputy director of health and family welfare department and nodal officer Dr Tiasunup Pongener received the critical rapid test kits from the IAF officials.
Pongener said with the availability of kits now, the state health and family welfare department will soon start screening of suspects in the hot spots.
Chief minister Neiphiu Rio in his tweet said the much-awaited rapid kits issued by the government of India for Nagaland through Indian Council of Medical Research arrived in the state by IAF special Dronier aircraft.
Senitisation:
One sub-team of 12th Bn. National Disaster Response Force carried out senitisation drive at the secretariat in Kohima on Monday.
The team sprayed the disinfectants mixed with sodium hypochlorite and water at the chief minister’s office, conference hall, video conference room, SBI office, NSDMA office, guard room (CRPF), main control room etc.
