The Naga Hoho on Thursday said the October 31, 2019 announcement of the conclusion of the formal Naga talks has not brought about any progress.
The Naga people have entered into another year without any sign of resolving the long-pending Naga political impasse, said Naga Hoho president H.K Zhimomi and general secretary K. Elu Ndang in a release.
Saying that the Naga people are anxious to see the new dawn in the Naga areas, the Hoho said more than two decades of the peace process is pretty enough to be concluded.

It alleged that the “inconclusive talks” are a reflection of the insincerity and lack of political will on the part of the government of India which committed to resolving the issue within a short period.
The Hoho said there will be no obstacle to signing the agreement once the government of India decides not to retrack and stick to its commitment and agreed principles of Indo-Naga political negotiations.

“The government of India must not backtrack or misinterpret the Framework Agreement which must be the basis of solution or agreement,” it added.
The Hoho said all intricacies must be resolved on the basis of the Framework Agreement.
The Naga Hoho also said it must be ensured that the signing of the agreement should be inclusive of all the Naga political groups so as to fulfill the desire of the people at large.
It is unfortunate that the Nagas are not united as some groups are demanding a separate solution for the present state of Nagaland whereas some others are trying to settle the issue for entire Nagas, the Hoho said.
It alleged that the government of India’s desire is to divide the Nagas and to resolve the issue by modifying the 16-Point Agreement within the ambit of the Indian Constitution.
The Hoho appealed to all Naga political groups to unite and resolve the Naga political issue without any reservation.
