Musician Alobo Naga from Nagaland has appealed for help from Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju and Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio to compensate for the destruction of musical equipments after an angry mob burnt it down.

Alobo Naga posted a picture of the burnt car and said that the mob burnt down their car along with all their musical instruments which were at the venue of the Itanagar International Film Festival (IIFF).
Alobo Naga with many other artists from Assam and other northeast states were in Arunachal Pradesh the first Itanagar International Film Festival (IIFF), Dorjee Khandu convention centre which was vandalized by unknown miscreants on Friday night.
Singer Alobo Naga on his Twitter handle on Saturday while thanking all his well-wishers stated: “Thank you all for your prayers and wishes! We are safe. Just avoided mob attack in 2 places to reach Naharlagun train station. Trying to sneak out of Arunachal, continue to pray for us. Situation looks bad, curfew is on!”
The Itanagar International Film festival bore the maximum brunt as all the arrangements, including convention halls, temporary theatres, stages, food courts, audio and video equipment were burnt down overnight by the mob on Friday.
At least 100 artists many from Assam, took shelter at the Dorjee Khandu convention centre overnight following the eruption of violance.
They stayed the whole night in the centre fearing for life and with the first light of the day, they escaped to the Assam border.
Arunachal has been on the boil since the government move to grant permanent residency certificates (PRCs) to non-Arunachal Scheduled Tribes. Places like Itanagar, Naharlagun has seen violent protests for a few days now.
