Mizoram has registered one more COVID-19 death on Sunday. 

A 64-year-old man from Dam Veng in Aizawl succumbed to the deadly virus on Sunday. 

The man passed away at the Zoram Medical College near Aizawl at 5:30pm on Sunday.  

With this Mizoram’s COVID-19 death toll has risen to 16.

Meanwhile, 61 patients have been discharged from various hospitals in the State after recovering from COVID-19. 

Mizoram’s recovery rate stands at 80.30 percent.

As many as 5046 patients have recovered from COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Mizoram’s active cases tally has crossed the 1200-mark. 

The active cases tally in Mizoram currently stands at 1223. 

State capital Aizawl accounts for the maximum number of active cases.

There are as many as 906 COVID-19 active cases in Aizawl.  

The other Mizoram districts with active COVID-19 cases are: Lunglei – 31, Siaha – 4, Champhai – 8, Kolasib – 51, Serchhip – 98, Lawngtlai – 67, Mamit – 47, Khawzawl – 6, Hnahthial – 1 and Saitual – 4.  

The total COVID-19 caseload in Mizoram now stands at 6284. 

Of the total COVID-19 cases detected in Mizoram so far, 4290 are male and 1994 are female.
