Mizoram, on Tuesday, recorded the highest-ever single day spike in COVID-19 cases.
Over 1500 new COVID-19 cases have been detected in Mizoram in the last 24 hours.
As many as 1502 new COVID-19 cases have been detected in Mizoram.
With the detection of the new cases, Mizoram’s active COVID-19 cases tally has risen to 13369.
Of the new cases, 335 were detected through RT-PCR tests at the Zoram Medical College (ZMC) in Aizawl, 1087 through Rapid Antigen Test, 59 through TrueNat and 21 via FIA tests.
These new cases have been detected at a positivity rate of 16.39 percent.

Meanwhile, no fatality due to the infection has been reported in the last 24 hours.
The COVID-19 death toll in Mizoram currently stands at 241.
Mizoram capital – Aizawl has the highest number of active cases with 8497.
The new 1502 positive cases have been detected after conducting tests on 9165 samples.
