Mizoram records 6 Covid19 death in 2 days; positivity rate stands at 13.46%

Mizoram has recorded 6 deaths due to Covid19 infection in the last 2 days.

While the state reported 2 Covid19 deaths on Friday morning, it registered 4 deaths on Thursday.

Mizoram reported 497 new Covid19 cases in the last 24 hours.

While 395 cases were detected during RAgT test, 48 cases were found positive for the virus during RT-PCR test,
53 during TrueNAT test and 1 case was detected during FIA test.

With the new positive cases, Mizoram’s total number of Covid19 cases increased to 1,30,912 on Friday.

The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 473 people in Mizoram.

The state’s positivity rate stands at 13.46%.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 525 patients recovered from the disease.

With this, the number of recovery cases in Mizoram increased to 1,25,170 on Thursday.

The state’s recovery rate stands at 95.74%.

Of the 525 recoveries, Aizawl district recorded 261, Lunglei-88, Champhai-57, Kolasib-57, Hnahthial-27, Mamit-16
Khawzawl-10 and Lawngtlai district has recorded 9 recoveries.

Mizoram currently has a total of  5,269 active cases.
