The closing and award presentation ceremony for the C K Hyundai Inter Village Volleyball Tournament was held at Mizoram capital Aizawl on Wednesday.
The tournament was organized by the Mizoram Volleyball Association at R Dengthuama Indoor Stadium, Aizawl.
The deputy Speaker of Mizoram Legislative Assembly, Lalrinawma graced the function as chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the Lalrinawma congratulated the Mizoram Volleyball Association for successfully organizing an eight day event which saw participation from different parts of the State.
He said that owing to the development on various fronts, the State’s sporting scene too has grown by leaps and bounds.
He urged the young people of Mizoram to always strive to be at the top in every single aspect of their lives.
Fiftytwo men’s and 18 women’s volleyball teams participated in the tournament held from October 22 to 30.
