As many as 108 personnel of Mizoram Police, who have returned from West Bengal after completing elections duty there have tested COVID-19 positive.
These 108 COVID-19 cases belonging to the Mizoram Police were reported on Wednesday.
They were among the 22 cases, which were logged on Wednesday.
On Thursday, one more Mizoram policeman has tested positive for COVID-19.
On the other hand, 17 from the Assam Rifles, 3 from the BSF and 1 from the CAPF have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last two days.
One of the BSF jawan, who tested positive for COVID-19 is 40 years old and had received both the doses of COVID-19 vaccine, an official said on Thursday.

Altogether 139 COVID-19 cases were logged in Mizoram on Thursday.
These 139 fresh COVID-19 cases pushed the Mizoram’s tally to 5,880 of which 13 people have succumbed to the viral infection so far.
The official said that at least 3,712 samples were tested in the last 24 hours and the infection rate for the said period was 3.74 per cent.
52 cases were confirmed at Zoram Medical College’s RT-PCR laboratory, 1 at TrueNat facility and 86 cases were detected through Rapid Antigen Test.
Of the new cases, 99 cases were reported from Aizawl district, 17 from Lawngtlai district, 10 From Serchhip district and 7 from Kolasib district.
Lunglei, Champhai and Mamit districts reported 2 cases each.

41 patients have travel history, while the rest 98 have locally contracted the virus.
Of the 139 patients, 34 have developed symptoms of COVID-19.
Mizoram now has 1,075 active cases, while 4,792 people have recovered from the infection.
