Mizoram Assam Rifles

The Serchhip Battalion of Assam Rifles at the initiative of HQ 23 Sector Assam Rifles under HQ Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) extended a helping hand to two Veer Naris from Mizoram.

The Serchhip Battalion of the Assam Rifles extended the support as part of its constant endeavour for the two Veer Naris – Juliet Zongmawii and Laldengi.

A team of the Serchhip Battalion, which is committed to the cause of extending support to Veer Naris, visited the Veer Naris on Monday in their respective residences in New Serchhip.

Veer Naris Juliet Zongmawii and Laldengi were given essential commodities to meet their daily requirements as a gesture of constant support from the Assam Rifles.

“The ladies were assured of the continuous support of Assam Rifles whenever required to assist in their well-being and resolution of any issues,” the HQ IGAR (East) said in a press statement.

“Assam Rifles is always committed to provide assistance to the families of the brave soldiers, who have made supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation,” the statement said.

While sharing pictures of the Veer Naris on its Twitter handle, the Assam Rifles wrote:
“Serchhip Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 23 Sector Assam Rifles/ Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) has been making a constant endeavour for the Veer Naris. Committed to the cause, on 20 December 2021.”
