In Mizoram, women voters have outnumbered their male counterpart. Mizoram has witnessed an increase of 1.96 per cent of voters after the publication of electoral roll on Monday.
The state election department published the electoral roll where names of 7,59,519 voters were enlisted.
Interestingly women voters have outnumbered male voters. The total number of female voters is 3,88,046 against the total number of 3,71,473 male voters.
The highest increase in the number of voters was in Mamit district on Mizoram-Bangladesh-Tripura border at 2.37 per cent, followed by Aizawl district at 2.11 per cent.
Election in Mizoram is likely to be held by the end of this year.
