Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma has said that no major side-effects of the Covid-19 vaccine have been reported from the state so far.
The second round of the phase I Covid-19 vaccination drive began in Meghalaya on Tuesday.
The centre has provided Meghalaya with 35 thousand doses of the Covishield vaccine.
The chief minister had said that over 832 health workers were to be vaccinated on the first day of the vaccination campaign.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the world’s biggest immunization drive against Covid-19 in India on January 16.
The central government plans to inoculate 3 crores of health and frontline workers during the first phase of the immunization drive.
People above 50 years and those under 50 years with co-morbid conditions will be vaccinated during the second phase.
