One more minister in Meghalaya has tested positive for Covid-19. Transport minister Sniawbhalang Dhar tested positive for the deadly virus on Thursday.
Earlier, power minister James Sangma and health and family welfare minister AL Hek were infected by the virus.
Dhar, a National People’s Party (NPP) MLA from the Nartiang seat, is asymptomatic and has no recent travel history, health officials said.
The state on Thursday recorded two more Covid-19 deaths, taking the total number of fatalities due to the disease to 87.
A total of 77 fresh positive cases were registered and 113 patients recovered, officials said.
