GUWAHATI: A rubber-laden truck, bearing registration number JK-05-H-0666, erupted in flames on national highway 06 near Jyntru village in Ri Bhoi district of Meghalaya.
The incident took place at around 2:00 PM on Monday (April 29) when the truck’s driver and helper halted the vehicle by the roadside for a break.
However, soon after the truck engulfed in flames.
According to sources, the driver escaped unhurt while the handyman received injuries.
While the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, preliminary investigations suggest a potential electrical failure within the vehicle’s wiring.
