SHILLONG: Unknown assailants threw a petrol bomb at the Mawlai police station in Shillong city of Meghalaya during the early hours of Wednesday (April 03).

The incident resulted in a police vehicle parked outside the police station go up in flames.

The incident, reported around 2:00 am on Wednesday (April 03).

Two individuals had arrived near the Mawlai police station in Meghalaya on a two-wheeler before launching the attack.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

Meanwhile, an investigation into the incident is underway.

Authorities in Meghalaya have initiated a case in connection with the incident.

Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the culprits responsible for the attack.
