SHILLONG: A distressing incident unfolded in Shillong city of Meghalaya on Monday (May 06) as a 34-year-old man, identified as Manjil Ghosh hailing from Kolkata in West Bengal, was discovered dead inside a hotel room.
According to Meghalaya police, the manager of Hotel Megha Stay Inn lodged a complaint after noticing that room 403, occupied by the deceased, was locked from the inside.
Upon investigation, authorities broke open the door to find Ghosh hanging inside the room.
The circumstances surrounding the death of the Ghosh remain under investigation as authorities work to ascertain the events leading up to his demise.
