SHILLONG: The Meghalaya government has constituted a committee to select experts to review the reservation policy.

The search committee formed by the Meghalaya government will comprise three members.

This was informed by Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma on Tuesday (June 06).

“The government has decided that chief secretary, one member from the law department and one member fr the personnel department – a three member committee – as a search committee that will look for experts, who will be then part of the experts committee,” Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma said.

“As per recommendations, the experts committee should be a five-member committee,” he added.

This was informed by the Meghalaya chief minister after a meeting of the state cabinet in Shillong.

Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma said: “Cabinet has also approved the necessary changes to the office memorandum for the reservation roster after discussions with stakeholders.”

“Through this amendment, the process of recruitment will also start,” he added.
