Shillong : Meghalaya government is exploring the possibilities of making larger aircrafts operational from Shillong Airport in Umroi.

However, the mountainous landscape of the state poses significant challenges for making this dream a reality.

Despite these challenges, the state government is researching about new technologies and is optimistic of making the airport possible for larger aircraft to land in the near future.

A final decision on these plans is expected by the end of this month.
