On the day when Meghalaya’s COVID19 tally stands at 856, a total of 32 other patients, who were earlier infected by the virus, have recovered from the disease on Saturday.

With the recovery of 32 more patients, the total number of recovered COVID19 patients in Meghalaya increased to 252 on Saturday.

This has been confirmed by Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma while sharing the latest update on the state’s COVID19 status on his Twitter handle.

According to the latest data, Meghalaya currently has 599 active COVID19 patients.

The active COVID19 patients include 279 personnel from the Border Security Force (BSF) and other armed forces.

Apart from the BSF and other armed forces’ personnel, the total number of other patients stands at 320.

The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 5 persons including an infant from Arunachal Pradesh.

With a record single-day surge of 57,117 infections, India’s COVID19 19 tally reached 1,697,054 caseload on Saturday.

The country’s COVID19 death toll currently stands at 36,511, as per the Union health ministry data.
