The total number of COVID19 positive cases registered in Meghalaya increased to 738 on Monday.

Sharing the latest update on the state’s COVID19 status, Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma on his Twitter handle informed that the state currently has 547 active cases.

With discharge of more patients, the total number of recovered patients has risen to 186 on Monday.

The chief minister informed that out of the total COVID19 active cases, 285 are personnel from the Border Security Force (BSF) and other armed forces.

Apart from the BSF and armed forces’ personnel, the number of other infected people who are undergoing treatment in various hospitals across Meghalaya is 262.

The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 5 persons including an infant from Arunachal Pradesh.
