He may be small in size and age, but with a big heart.

When most of the children save their pocket money to buy something of their choice, he saved money in his piggy bank so that it could be used for the people in distress.

He is none other than five-year-old L. Mayan Nongbri.

The parents of L. Mayan are lucky to have such a child, who could think of donating his entire savings of his tiny piggy bank towards the Meghalaya Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).

The little boy might have been moved by the miseries of the people badly affected by flood in Meghalaya, mostly Garo Hills, this year.

He might have heard of several people and organizations contributing lakhs of money towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund so that the affected people can be rehabilitated post-flood.

With a big heart, L. Mayan also stepped out in the morning on Tuesday with his piggy bank and became a special visitor at the residence of Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, and donated all his savings towards the CMRF.

The Meghalaya Chief Minister was touched by the kindness and act of empathy of little L. Mayan Nongbri.

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma spared time for L. Mayan, talked to him, grabbed him by the arms, pulled him up into his lap and also had pictures with him.

Informing about the little boy’s kindness, the Chief Minister while sharing some of the pictures with L. Mayan on his Twitter handle said: “We had a special visitor at our residence this morning, meet L. Mayan Nongbri.”

“Mayan, aged 5, came to me with his piggy bank and donated his entire savings towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. I’m touched by his kindness and his act of empathy,” the CM further tweeted.
