The All India Football Federation (AIFF) in collaboration with the Meghalaya Football Association conducted an AFC ‘B’ Licence (Module 1) course for coaches which concluded on Tuesday.

The course, which included practical and theory classes, began on June 12 where 24 coaches participated. The course was led by former professional footballer and experienced coach Mariano Dias.

While seven of the 24 participating coaches were from Meghalaya, others were from the rest of the Northeast and other states of the country, according to reports.

The participating coaches from Meghalaya were:

Kitkuparlang Kharshiing (Meghalaya), Dapmon Tariang (Meghalaya), Seibor Sana (Meghalaya), Iaikyntiewlang Nongkynrih (Meghalaya), Playerson Jitem Syiemlieh (Meghalaya), Rickspringfield Nongdhar (Meghalaya), and Arkibor Mylliem Umlong (Meghalaya).

Some of the coaches who participated from the other north-eastern states were:

Rocky Ramching (Arunachal Pradesh), Rohming Thanga (Arunachal Pradesh), Victor Lalbiakmawia (Mizoram), Khiangte Lalrindika (Mizoram), Sangey Tsering (Arunachal Pradesh), B Malsawmzuala (Mizoram), Khrielievi O Tsumvu (Nagaland), Vumkhankhual Tonsing (Manipur) and Samson Ramengmawia (Mizoram).

On the concluding day of the module, a small closing ceremony was held in the presence of Meghalaya Football Association CEO Arki Nongrum, MFA Treasurer Wanshan Kharkrang and All India Football Federation Development Officer, Andrew Suting.

Dias thanked the MFA for hosting the course and thanked the MFA staff for their cooperation and support.
