“A place will develop only when the basic infrastructure like connectivity, water supply and electricity are well equipped,” said Manipur social welfare minister Nemcha Kipgen.
“When the residents of a particular area unite together, that place will automatically develop within a short span of time,” she added.
The minister was addressing a gthering on Monday after inaugurating the Hangmi Vengnom village in Kangpokpi district.
“To dwell together in unity” is the motto of the newly inaugurtaed village.
