IMPHAL: An intense gun battle erupted in Imphal East district of Manipur on Tuesday (February 27) at around 6:40 pm, reportedly involving armed groups and security guards of an additional SP.
However, the perpetrators of the attack and the motive behind it are yet to be determined.
According to initial reports, the situation in the area remains tense, with security forces currently working to stabilize the situation.
The exchange of fire occurred in the Wangkhei area of Imphal East in Manipur, with crossfire reported near the residence of the additional SP in the same area.

Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or injuries resulting from the incident.
