Imphal: A driver and his handyman were injured on Thursday afternoon after being attacked by unidentified individuals at Moreh in Manipur along the Indo-Myanmar border.
The victims, Md Ella (27) and Md Imin (24) were transporting construction materials for state forces when their vehicle was stopped near the Moreh police station, police said.
The attackers, who were armed with sticks, assaulted the victims and took their vehicles, said a police official.
Ella and Imin received medical attention at a nearby Assam Rifles camp and later filed a police complaint. Manipur police are investigating the incident and searching for the perpetrators, said the official.
