Manipur reported three more COVID19 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The deceased included a 70 years old male from Imphal West, 55 years old male from Thoubal and 40 years old male from Imphal East expired at JNIMS hospital, the Covid-19 common control room in Imphal said in a press release.

The cumulative number of deaths is 171.

Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, 247 civilians (including 128 females )and one Central Armed Police Force personnel have been confirmed positive, the release said.

The new COVID19 cases were confirmed at 22 testing facilities in the state.

The new cases from the general population are from Imphal West (86), Imphal East (77), Thoubal (13), Kangpokpi (9), Noney (1), Ukhrul (1), Bishnupur (25), Kakching (4), Senapati (2), Churachandpur (13), Tamenglong (13), Jiribam (1) and Chandel(2), it added.

All are locals without any significant travel history.

Meanwhile, 203 persons were discharged from 5 Covid care facilities in the last 24 hours, it said.

With this, the number of active cases reached 3,514 while the cumulative number of positive cases is 18,750, it said.

The total recovered cases of the COVID19 positive cases in the state reached 15,065 on Sunday, it said. The recovery rate is 80.34%.

As of Sunday, 4,31,493 people were screened at various entry points into the state, while 3,54,210 individuals were tested for the disease.

A new standard operating procedure for Covid appropriate behavior at local/village/community level was issued on October 31 with key role for local committees, it added.

The state health department has also urged the public to self-isolate and contact Covid control room or the chief medical officer for testing on coming in contact with a COVID19 positive person.
