The total number of persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Manipur has increased to 366

While the number of active cases is 293, official sources said.

According to a press release on Thursday, 31 persons were confirmed as COVID-19 positive cases at VRDL, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) on Thursday night.

The concerned district authorities have taken up all necessary precautionary measures.

Later another press release of the COVID-19 common control room which was circulated to the media around 8 pm, however, stated that 24 more persons including 13 males and 11 females were confirmed as new COVID 19 positive cases at the VRDLs of JNIMS (13) and RIMS (11).

They are said to be returnees from other states.

Informing that their health conditions are stable, it said they are being shifted to COVID Care facilities in Imphal adding that the district authority has taken up all necessary control measures like containment and contact tracing.

Ten patients (9 males and 1 female) have been discharged from RIMS (7) and JNIMS (3) hospitals after they were found COVID 19 free on Real Time PCR tests.

They will remain under home quarantine for the next 14 days, it said.

The total number of positive cases has increased to 366 and the number of active cases to 293, it added.

The number of recovered cases is 73.
