Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Tuesday felicitated Captain Soiba Maningba Rangnamei for showing exemplary courage during the clashes with troopers of People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China at the Galwan Valley last year.

Captain Soiba Maningba Rangnamei was felicitated by Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh at his official residence in Imphal on Tuesday morning.

Captain Soiba Maningba Rangnamei, of 16 Bihar Regiment of the Indian Army hails from Manipur’s Senapati district.

Captain SM Rangnamei led his men bravely during the clashes with the Chinese PLA troopers at the Galwan Valley last year.

Biren Singh said, “It’s an honour to meet Captain Soiba Maningba Rangnamei from Senapati, Manipur of 16 Bihar, leading his men in Galwan during the confrontation against the Chinese PLA. We are always indebted to soldiers like him who is leading in the front for the safety and security of the Nation.”

Further lauding the efforts of Captain Soiba Maningba Rangnamei, Biren Singh while said, “The State always encourage our youths to join the armed forces and participate in safeguarding the Nation.”
