Although, Onkholer announced that he will contest in the upcoming Assembly elections, he is yet to make any kind of announcement on which party he is joining.

There is high probability that Onkholer will contest the elections as an independent candidate.

Reports also suggest that Onkholer is hoping for a BJP ticket to contest the elections.
