Officials of the Election Commission of India (ECI), on Wednesday, will hold a crucial meeting with top officers from Manipur to review preparedness of the state for the upcoming Assembly elections in the state.
The meeting will be held virtually.
Representatives of political parties from Manipur will also attend this crucial meeting.
The ECI, apart from reviewing poll preparedness, will also take stock of the COVID situation in the state.

Manipur, on December 29, reported the first Omicron case in the Northeast.
Concerns over the Omicron variant of COPID-19 are on the rise in the Northeast after five Omicron cases were detected in Meghalaya on Tuesday evening.
The ECI will also take stock of the COVID vaccination underway in Manipur.
